Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Chrome Pieces Pty Ltd handles personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and anything you write in a consultation or trade enquiry.
Information about your order: what you bought, when, and the amount paid. We never see or store your full card number.
Information from your visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device type.
Why we collect it
To take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, provide support, honour warranties, and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
To send order and dispatch emails. These are transactional and are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
To send marketing email only where you have subscribed. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who we share it with
Stripe, for payment processing.
Supabase, which hosts our database in the Asia-Pacific region.
Vercel, which hosts this website.
Resend, which sends our email.
Our delivery carriers and manufacturing partners, who receive only the delivery details needed to get your order to you.
Advertising and analytics providers, where those are enabled — see the section on tracking below.
We do not sell your personal information.
Tracking and advertising
Where enabled, this site uses Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to measure which advertising leads to purchases.
This may involve sending a hashed version of your email address to those providers so a purchase can be matched to an ad. Hashing means the provider does not receive your address in readable form.
You can opt out using your browser's ad-tracking controls, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends one.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, as Australian tax law requires.
Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for two years.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email mitch@chromepieces.com.au and we will respond within thirty days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
